Do you only read BlueNC from your desk at work? Do you have a life on the weekends? Or is reading BlueNC obviously "work" and thus forbidden on the Sabbath? Here's a recap of the past weekend in BlueNC.
Daniel Siler is back (welcome back, Daniel!), and shared his letter to the Asheville Citizen-Times on Charles Taylor's pitiful vets record. Daniel's actually been posting a lot this weekend, and I refer you to his blog for those posts. One of them led to a discussion about the importance and role of blogs in getting folks elected.
There were a couple of fundraiser announcements. Anglico's hosting Larry Kissell in Chapel Hill on Wednesday the 28th. And LiberalNC gave notice of a Larry Kissell fundraiser in Cabarrus County on the 30th. You can RSVP at cabarrusdemocrats.org.
The SouthernDem hit is with our weekly dose of Saturday Morning Funnies, answering the age old question: what's the common theme running through Flip Flops, Adams Apples, and the Crusades. She was also good enough to report from the NCDP convention.
Matt Hill was good enough to post news of a Church of Homophobia that got struck by lightning. Delicious. He also outlines a move by UNC-CH and NC State to give big sport athletes from out of state in-state tuition rates at a cost to the rest of us of $20 million.
gregflynn invited us to join a caption contest that ties together Vernon Robinson and Brokeback Mountain.
I expressed my extreme scepticism of Catawba County Schools' claim that Google crept into their secure server and made off with student social security numbers (in this post and in this follow-up, which also covers CCS's feint towards blaming one of the students).
If I left anything out, hit me in the comments.
