Alaska. The new Texas?

You might think it’s illegal to buy or sell an endangered tiger cub in Texas, but it isn’t. For $500, you can buy an orange Bengal tiger and tie it up in your yard, no questions asked (a white tiger will cost you $5,000). It’s all perfectly legal in Texas. And probably Alaska.

wild animal news from hurricane
There was a story today about a man who took shelter in a Baptist church ALONG WITH HIS PET LION in a hurricane-devastated area of the Texas coast. Rescuers won't go near it to help him.
As a native Texan(seventh generation) who had an alligator as a pet as a child, I sort of understand these people. This is a reason we have certain laws - because some people are from the sludgy end of the gene pool and lack all common sense, and we must protect them and the well-being of the community.
