Andrew Brock's a twitter

This just in via Twitter from Waker Grand Master Andrew Brock:

If there is Republican landslide, we can't let the wimpy moderates take control of the party. The Nation needs to go in the RIGHT direction.

If there is a Republican landslide? I thought that was a foregone conclusion! Wimpy moderates? He must be talkin' to you, Tommy Fetzer.

Be sure you follow those Waker links

so you can keep up with the Next Big Thing in Republicant Land:

A new class of being has been set forth on the land by North Carolina State Senator Andrew Brock. ACORN meets the 700 Club with an Amway twist. The Wakers. Buy your shares, build your pyramid, acquire control. Republican America, Inc. The ultimate blurring of business and democracy.

Take notice of this disturbance in the Force. Take notice when a Waker finds you, taps you on the shoulder, gives you the promise of the thing that matters most, the secret sign.

The Wakers. Free market fundamentalism at its glorious best, political profiteering in its purest form. Finally out in the open. Sort of.

Sleepers

The Wakers have failed to file a 2009 year-end report. I guess their pyramid scheme hasn't provided enough money for a first class stamp.

Lolslide?

Even conservatives, like this former special assistant to President George W. Bush, conservative lobbyist, and pro-GOP author thinks the Dems chances in Nov just improved.

Conservatives and Republicans today suffered their most crushing legislative defeat since the 1960s.

It’s hard to exaggerate the magnitude of the disaster. Conservatives may cheer themselves that they’ll compensate for today’s expected vote with a big win in the November 2010 elections. But:

(1) It’s a good bet that conservatives are over-optimistic about November – by then the economy will have improved and the immediate goodies in the healthcare bill will be reaching key voting blocs.

And not so long ago the GOP were saying stopping Health Care Reform from passing would be President Obama's Waterloo, so with it passing, they can't have it both ways. Can't say failure to pass will be a Waterloo for the dems, and passing it will cause a victory for the right. For my money, I think accomplishing nothing would have hurt the dems, and accomplishing something gives them something to run out they will definitely outstrip all the crazy lowered expectations (dead grandma/death panel/communism) as it becomes reality.

And although it isn't enough data to make any substantial conclusions yet, as it has become clear this would pass, President Obama's job approval rating has gone up 4 points in as many days.

Obamas approval rating

Are you sure Obamas job approval rating has gone up in the last 4 days. I have looked but can't find a poll that shows that.

On Gallup

I remember hearing on gallup it was 46 recently which I remember b/c it was on the news as his all time low, and I heard recently his gone back up to 50. So like I said, nothing conclusive, but it could be the start of something good. At the very least it doesn't look like the start of anything bad.
