A new class of being has been set forth on the land by North Carolina State Senator Andrew Brock. ACORN meets the 700 Club with an Amway twist. The Wakers. Buy your shares, build your pyramid, acquire control. Republican America, Inc. The ultimate blurring of business and democracy.

Take notice of this disturbance in the Force. Take notice when a Waker finds you, taps you on the shoulder, gives you the promise of the thing that matters most, the secret sign.

The Wakers. Free market fundamentalism at its glorious best, political profiteering in its purest form. Finally out in the open. Sort of.

Looks like the Wakers are off to a shaky start, what with the Waker in Chief being a responsibility-shirking kind of guy. Radiogirl has the story of right-wing nationalism run amok.

Blame it on your incompetent, racist web team, Senator Brock. That's what I call real Republican leadership.
