Are you happy now?

A free market wet dream comes true.

North Carolina lost nearly 10,000 public school jobs for the current school year, and the state slipped to 46th in the nation in per pupil spending, a new report from the state teachers group says.

Forty freakin' sixth?

Now that's what I call leadership.

Nope

Isn't Mississippi still "beating" us in the Southeast? We need to aim high low. Right?

You miss the point

Here is the deal. If we don't educate our children they don't vote and for sure they don't vote Democrat. The kids will listen to every made up crisis by republican politicos and vote as told to do so. No need to educate the masses, just the rich kids. This lesson brought to you by Walmart, low wages every day, work for us we sell guns...

The essence of trade unionism is social uplift. The labor movement has been the haven for the dispossessed, the despised, the neglected, the downtrodden, the poor.--A. Phillip Randolph

How high in the rankings have

How high in the rankings have we ever been?

What is our best year ever? Anybody got any idea. I have not been able to find it anywhere.

Thanks

You can find more if you look, but the broader point is this: Republicans don't see any relationship between spending and performance. That's why their King runs a chain of cheap-ass stores, selling crap to poor people. Quality? That's not even a consideration.

I can't find the data this morning, but it's my recollection that NC was hovering around 40th over the past few decades, with a downward spiral in recent years. In our state, Democrats act and vote a lot like Republicans when it comes to this sort of thing. Hence the lottery and the extreme resistance to taxing multimillionaires.

We're in a race to the bottom. Look out Texas! We're gonna be challenging you for stupidest state in the union!
