Asheville latest to embarrass NC

Asheville locals are seriously trying to keep an elected official from serving because he doesn't profess a belief in God. They are citing state Constitution's unconstitutional (and archaic) clause that bars non believers from holding office -- regardless of the fact that all similar language in other states has been struck down.

It's a daily pleasure seeing which one of the Carolinas will step forward to embarrass its citizens next. Today, it's the Tarhole State.
