Berger swings and misses on deficit

If you can't properly assess causality, you won't know which tools to pull out of the box:

Senate President Phil Berger told reporters earlier today that the tax and spending policies enacted by Democrats in the past led to the current deficit.

Pay attention, Phil: It's a global recession. Even if you Republicans had been in charge for the last ten (or 100) years, the recession would have choked revenues and created a deficit. Of course, not as many North Carolinians would have suffered, because our population would have dwindled every year you were in charge. Even Tombstone, Arizona had budget problems.

And the Tooth Sissy clear Bush 2 and the Republicans in having anything to do with it.....No doubt Goldman Sachs waterboard the North Carolina Democrats into buying worthless state Bonds like they force 21 Other Republican States to do the same thing...Either Berger is the dumbest political clown in North Carolina or he just can't add with new age Republican Math

The deficit he's so whacked about has two indisputable causes. Bush's War in Iraq and Bush's tax cuts on millionaires.
