Bill James pushes to scrap county employee benefits for same-sex couples

That didn't take long. Bill James wants Mecklenburg County to stop offering benefits to same sex couples:

Now that Amendment one has passed it obviously is illegal to offer this benefit as there is now only one ‘domestic legal union’ recognized in the state.

Amendment repercussions already starting

so much to all my religous friends who said that the other groups were using fear tactics to get people to vote against this amendment and that all this was going to do was solidify that marriage was between a man and a women and that it would have NO EFFECT on health benefits or domestic violence cases etc.
