The bizarre world of Will Breazeale

I like a good boycott as much as anyone, but this week's rant by Will Breazeale, candidate for the US House in the 7th district, pretty much takes the cake ... or should I say the cookie.
UPDATE from a reader reminding me that Breazeale's letter to the editor was written years ago, not this week. I hope the candidate will let us know if he still supports boycotting the Girl Scouts.
I am writing this letter all the way from Kuwait, where I am serving on active duty with the Army Reserve. I wanted to comment on the sale of Girl Scout cookies, believe it or not. I urge ALL Bladen County citizens to boycott the sale for two reasons:
1. The CEO of the Girl Scouts, whose home office is in New York, NY, makes $400,000 a year. The top pay for a Four Star General in the Army is less than $200,000 a year. President Bush makes $400,000 a year. This is just too much money to pay the head of a quote non-profit organization.(Girl Scouts). The sad thing is that the CEO of the Girl Scouts is making her money on the efforts of our young girls working hard selling cookies.
2. Our children in Bladen County are just plain too fat. For the first time in history, children born today will NOT live to be as old as their parents, on the average, because of the epidemic of obesity. The school district is not fixing the problem, because they continue to serve unhealthy fried foods and flavored sugar water in machines known as Fruitopia. The LAST thing our children need to eat is a bunch of unhealthy Girl Scout cookies! They will not live to see their grandchildren if the epidemic of obesity continues. (emphasis added)
Meanwhile, soldiers like me overseas continue to fight for your right to buy the cookies. Life is about choices. Made a good one by not buying the Girl Scout cookies. This is my PERSONAL opinion.
I agree with Breazeale about one thing. Life is about choices. And hopefully the good people of the 7th will choose someone else besides this nutcase to represent them in Congress.

PS I'm expecting Breazeale to soon be calling for a nationwide boycott of mega churches, where the top-dog preachers make millions while enjoying non-profit tax status.

Not sufficient to me
They guy is a publicity whore who's trying to use his military service to make his views sound sane. Given the weirdness I'm hearing about his campaign practices, he may very well give D'Annunzio a run for lead looney.
He is boycotting the wrong scouts!
