Time to Boycott New Hanover County (Wilmington and surrounding Beaches)

New Hanover County last night “unanimously voted to turn down a state family planning grant that would cover contraceptive supplies along with other medical services related to family planning. Per Chairman Davis “If these young women are being responsible and didn’t have the sex to begin with, we wouldn’t have this problem to begin with,” Davis said.

And the Democrats on the commission should change their affiliation to the Stupid party and stop trying to associate with Democrats. Via WECT, "Commissioner and Democrat Jonathan Barfield says he now regrets his vote and that the commissioners should have taken the grant money."

Governor interactive budget challenge

Via WRAL, Governor Perdue has set-up a interactive budget challenge website to try to balance budget.

Interesting, but doesn't allow you to add comments or taxes except for maintaining 1% sales tax. It also comes across as a game (i.e., not serious enough), with dog and if you don't get rid of deficit, it says "Play Again".

I don't think this is "play."

And screws NC yesterday stating "At this point in time, I don't know how to spell tax increase. It is off my plate right now." She said she was going to balance the budget without raising taxes and allow the temporary tax increase to expire.

I wonder what Republican wrote the Democrats playbook section on how to handle tough economic conditions. I'm sure there is 3.9 billion in waste in a 19 billion budget. Why we waited so long for such an easy goal is beyond me.
