Capitalism is the Greatest Re-Distributor of Wealth the World Has Ever Known

http://www.telemachusleaps.com/2010/12/free-market-capitalism-is-greates...

America is one of the few places where poor struggling people can invent something or improve something and improve their lot in life within a short period of time almost in unbelievable ways in many cases.

and if the business they work for goes bankrupt, they have already received their wages and benefits from the rich owner and bad old banks in a transfer of wealth to boot.

What could be most re-distributionist than that?

Hopefully, We Have Seen The Last of Social Security 'Attack Ads'

Why?

Because they won't 'work' with the aging Boomer/GenX and Millennial generations, hopefully.

Maybe we can have a thoughtful, coherent discussion about raising the retirement age, for example, and not riot in the streets like the crazy French are doing nowadays...

'I Refuse To Join Any Congress That Would Have Me As A Member!'

How are we gonna get our best and brightest to ever run for elective office up-and-down the line again so we can solve these problems instead of just talking about them all the time?

How to Get Health Care Reform Done Quickly

Until people understand the full, true and real cost of health insurance, it is going to be very difficult to get the political will ginned up in the voting population to demand change from our elected leaders.

This might be one way to do it.

'What Do We Do Now?'-Robert Redford, 'The Candidate', 1972

http://www.telemachusleaps.com/2010/10/what-do-we-do-now.html

Even Robert Redford didn't know what he wanted to do when he got 'elected' in 1972.

Maybe we all need to force our favorite candidates on both sides to be perhaps a little more specific as to what they would do. I prefer candidates who will say: "I will raise your taxes to pay for these new programs!' or 'I will cut other spending to pay for these new programs!' and then tell us what, when, how and where.

None of them do it and then we wonder why we have this $14 trillion national debt heading to $24 trillion by 2020?

Not hard to figure out why....
