With the introduction of the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt (and other electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids), we need to start to create a market for these cars by introducing charging stations around the state. While there are plans for some localities to have pilot programs, there needs to be a much greater effort throughout the state to accommodate these vehicles. Widespread construction of charging stations should help to create a market for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

While losing South Dakota was tough for Barack Obama, John McCain was only able to get 22% of the vote in the Montana Caucuses. How embarrasing!

Is the Presidential Primary process messed up? Perhaps it has its deficiencies, but it might be the best possible system.

With Iowa and New Hampshire so close, I thought it would be interesting to hear people's thoughts on the presidential primaries. Several candidates seem to be able to put forward plausible paths to victory.

The September/October issue of Foreign Affairs offers an article written by Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani describing his foreign policy if elected President. As I read it, I became increasingly disturbed by the direction this country's foreign policy would take under a Giuliani administration. Mr. Giuliani needs take heed of the quote by philosopher George Santayana: "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Americans need to see the damage done by conservative policies enacted over the past seven years. Through Orwellian use of language and slight of hand, they have convinced the American people they are doing one thing, while in reality they are doing another. Bush's Healthy Forest Initiative is just such an example.

I am incensed. This is ridiculous. Am man is convicted of multiple counts of perjury and obstruction of justice. It is widely believed he is still refusing to tell the whole truth to prosecutors. What does the President do?

Richard Lugar shocked the world tonight when he stood on the floor of the United States Senate and said that President Bush's surge has failed and called for a major shift in American policy.

Who will step up to the plate to defeat Liddy!!! She is beatable if the Democrats are able to mount a quality campaign.
