First-term state senator Chad Barefoot must have taken a crash course from Thom Tillis, Phil Berger, Thom Goolsby and Tim Moffitt about how to deny that NC GOP policies are destroying the state.
The method they use is called outright lying. Typically, they cherry-pick one or two data points and attempt to use that information to make a broad, overarching statement about how their harmful policy is, in fact, a completely opposite helpful policy that makes life heavenly for North Carolinians. Sparkleponies!
Not long ago they lied about education. They've done it with most of their policies once their draconian nature is widely publicized.
Chad Barefoot is now lying about the new tax laws.
It doesn't have a poster with a baby on it, but a more accurate assessment of the NC GOP tax "reform" is offered by the Citizens for Tax Justice (note to Chad: CTJ tells something we call "the truth". You should study up on it).
Lovely poster, Chad. If that couple really is a hardworking NC family, and they take advantage of the earned income tax credit, then their taxes will go up and that baby is likely to suffer.
And you left out the part that tells that about $900 million of that tax cut goes to the richest 5% of North Carolinians.
Chad Barefoot is a quick study. The good news is that, even though he benefited from gerrymandering, his seat is identified by PPP as vulnerable.
