The cluelessness of Myers Park Pat

Attention to detail is kind of important:
"It's a real honor sir," McCrory shaking his hands after speaking to the National Federation of Independent Business. McCrory walked away, when someone whispered in his ear, that "Griffith' was actually Art 'Almost Andy' Fettig ("close enough for most"), an Andy Griffith impersonator from Hillsborough who performed before McCrory spoke at the event.
Before I even moved to North Carolina, I'd probably watched a few hundred hours of Andy on the telly. There's no way I would mistake this guy for Sheriff Taylor:

You might think it's silly
to post about this, but we really don't know jack about McCrory. If he can't recognize an icon like Andy Griffith, how can we expect him to recognize bad legislation waiting for his signature?
Celebrity crush
All Myers Park could see was a chance to grab the golden ring endorsement on his I-Wanna-Be-Governor-Merry-Go-Round.
Heh :)
Somebody who has a collie should walk the dog by McCrory and see if he shouts "Lassie!"
Kinda reminds me of this episode....

It's a good thing he hadn't been exposed to the gamma radiation yet. The Hulk would have torn Mayberry a new jailhole...
