Congratulations Madame Governor!
Oh, how long I've been waiting to write those words! I was so glad to see you taking the oath today instead of that annoying, whining meatball, Pat McCrory. My only regret is I'm no longer working for one of the Council of State offices. It would have been a pleasure to serve under your command.
Two quick suggestions:
1) Take a good stiff broom to DOT.
2) Split DHHS into two or three agencies. In it's present form, it is as bloated and convoluted as a Rube Goldberg machine. Smaller agencies mean more effective oversight of massive projects, such as the mental health care.
Again, best wishes to you!

My only advice would be to remember the people. Some think that the netroots is a community of its own, but it really isn't.
When government screws the people, we become the people's advocate. Just do the right thing by the people and we will fight for you tooth and nail. Screw them over, and we will have to call you out.
Personally, I'm ready to fight tooth and nail and am behind you 100%.
Very well said
I'm ready to support her. Of course, I'm also ready to nudge her in the right direction if need be.

Now is the time for boldness
The current economic crisis is going to bring a lot of challenges for you over the next 4 years. But you already know that, and I am sure you are up for it. However, I really hope that you use this as an opportunity for boldness, and a real invitation to say that now is not the time to abandon those who most need our help. Rather, this is a time to show what government is capable of, and how we can create real positive results for individuals.
Don't worry about doing what is politically easy, do what is right for the future of those who were too young to vote for you.

My congratulations as well
I am pulling for you ... and pushing as necessary ... to help our state through some very challenging times.
Stay strong. And don't be a stranger. If you want to know what We the People are thinking, there's no better way than to visit BlueNC and ask a couple of questions.
Best of luck.

Please Governor Perdue
Look out for the common people of the state. We have only just survived eight years machiavellian dictators who have taken every opportunity to dismantle and degrade the fabric of society that has held us aloft. Please be on our side.
