Congressman Jones, Jr. To NC-03: "I don’t want to talk to you!"

This post is cross-posted from the Brock Log.

It's the August recess for Congress and members everywhere are back "in the district" and meeting with their constituents.

Well...

Almost everyone.

The Gentleman from North Carolina's Third Congressional District will not be meeting with constituents.

I know because I tried to find out...

First, I visited his campaign's website's events list. Don't worry, it's not you, it really is blank.

Then, I visited his Congressional site, which doesn't have a calendar or events list.

Having reached the extent of the information easily available, I did the unthinkable and decided to use the telephone. I called his campaign office in Raleigh, NC. The very polite fellow directed me to the scheduler in Mr. Jones Jr.'s Washington D.C., office.

I spoke with her for a few minutes.

Mr. Jones, Jr. has no public appearances or speeches scheduled, though, he is scheduled to speak with several civic groups these meetings are not for public consumption.

I wonder, is Mr. Jones, Jr. afraid to talk to his constituents or is he afraid to listen to us?

Good job staying on Wally's butt, Thomas.

Thanks keeping the pressure up.

I think he is more afraid

of attacks from within his own party than from any of us in the middle...
