Poor Jim Rogers. It seems that buying a governor doesn't quite satisfy his lust for control. Now he's resorting to corporate blackmail:
He added that the commission is aware of Duke’s importance to the state as a North Carolina company. And he said if Duke cannot get proper regulator treatment “we might not be headquartered in North Carolina in the near future.”
I don't know about you, but to me this sort of public pronouncement seems more like ass-covering for relocation plans that are already underway.
But hey, no need to worry folks. There will always be a Duke Energy headquarters in North Carolina.
