Governor Perdue Vetoes "ideologically driven Budget"

Doing the only responsible thing she could:

This budget will result in generational damage. It tears at the very fibers that make North Carolina strong – not only our schools, but also our communities, our environment, our public safety system and our ability to care for those who need us most.

The General Assembly may be satisfied with a state in reverse, but I am not. Therefore, I veto this bill.

Thank you, Bev. Whether they override or not, it was the right thing to do.

Thanks for staying in front of this, Sam.

Now It's Time to Get to Work

Our battle has just started. We need to be commenting on every newspaper message board, defending the Governor's veto and attacking the Radical Republican agenda. We need to answer every post, making the point that our kids are indeed worth a penny.

Very proud

Our governor did the right thing today. Now we have to do everything we can to make her veto count.

Tillis lowest form of Republican

Thom Tillis is an asshat., Check out this egregious hypocrisy:

"She has shown no leadership on this issue and no willingness to work with the legislature, choosing instead to veto a budget that protects education and creates jobs," the Mecklenburg County Republican said. "We look forward to overriding the governor's last-minute veto very soon."
