About that new PAC

I thought PACs weren't supposed to be coordinating their expenditures with candidates. Which either Pat McCrory didn't see the cameras he was looking at ... or something is rotten with Renew Whatever.

The State Board of Elections needs to put a hard smackdown on these shenanigans, right here and right now.

It's Pat's shadow government

It was formed right after he got elected. They threw a ball or reception or something too. Donors don't have to be disclosed. And you're right, they're not supposed to be "primarily political".

Smells of Pope.

I'm afraid...

...I'll puke.

( a little early for 2 word Tues.)

Ha!

Good one!

WTF was that ad?

Pat "Empty Suit" McCrony as NC's Lord and Savior muttering platitudes milling about with people at a reception?

Vapid doesn't begin to cover it.

Someone should be fired for making this nonsense.

I'll bet they got a $25,000 raise instead.

Vapid and spooky

It's almost as if McCrory did his part in a studio, and they blue-screened the rest of the people into it after the fact. It's just weird, and it makes him look weird, too.

I'd be ROFLMAO

if this wasn't so damned sickening.

So he is going to reward the best teachers? First you have to pay a decent base salary in order to get those teachers to either stay in the profession or enter it in the first place. And as much as I agree that students are over tested, how is he going to judge who these "best teachers" are without testing the crap out of the students and teachers?

I'm a moderate Democrat.

Prevaricating Propaganda Pat

A series of outright lies. Overacted insincere delivery. A campaign commercial from a governor in office for just a few months who should be governing rather than trying to shore up his tarnished image.

Other than that, it's great!

Let's count the lies

  1. Stepping on toes of left and right. Good one Pat!
  2. Reduced taxes. Nope, only for the rich. Most will pay more taxes overall.
  3. Help families and create jobs. Whose families? Hospital closure because of Pat's policy cost 100 jobs. Teachers assistants losing jobs across the state.
  4. Building up vocational training. Community college budgets cut.
  5. Helping people get back to work. Unemployment continues to soar. 344 new laws, not one single jobs bill (but it is true that many folks are no longer getting unemployment checks).
  6. Clamping down hard on waste and fraud. As in hiring the communication boys and Aldona's consultant pals?
  7. Let's help our most vulnerable citizens get excellent healthcare. Seriously? That really takes some chutzpah. Pat threw 500,000 people under the bus by refusing federally funded Medicaid expansion, leaving them without healthcare.
  8. Being more efficient with your tax dollars. Refer to waste and fraud above.
  9. Reward our best teachers. Pat says he "found" some money to reward a very few. But those teachers who earn masters degrees (one must presume they're among the best) aren't getting any rewards.
  10. Increased K-12 funding for our schools. Seriously? That Berger lie has been debunked repeatedly. This one takes some real gall too.
  11. Building a better North Carolina (this one's just a graphic, not spoken). 48th in education. From #9 to #40 in the nation for favorability.

By my calculations, that's about 0.2 lies per second, remarkable even for Prevaricating Pat.

The fact that he can state these things in public when they're demonstrable outright lies is pathetic.

So yeah, I call Bullshit in the first degree.

Brilliant

Nicely done.

Prevaricating Propaganda Pat

says 'em. I just documents 'em.

Seriously, don't stand too close to DAG McCrony, he's surely about to be struck by lightning.

What a morally bankrupt creature.

P.S. to James: I consider "Prevaricating Propaganda Pat" a proper name, so please forgive the capitalization :-)

I am wondering...

...DAG McCrony seems to have exceeded the typical bounds of a lying politician.

I seriously wonder if he needs help. No, I really mean it. Do you think he's convinced himself that his delusions are reality?

Seriously. I'm not making light of this. I really am wondering.

I think MythBusters would deem it plausible. I sure do.

I used to think the truth was just not in him.

I thought, he is just seriously clueless. Maybe he truly has no idea what Art Pope put in that budget, and the 'taxes really are lower' and 'we are not really cutting education' bull was what he truly believed.

Then it comes to mind that he insisted he mixed in with the Moral Monday crowds, and was rudely treated. We all know that is a bald lie, and not one picture out of half a million or so showed him in any of those crowds. Later he almost (but not quite) admitted that.

Then he called that Women's Health advocate out into the middle of the street to hand her cookies, and he and his 4 guards just left her there in traffic. He continues to refer to the motercyclevagina law as 'protective of women's health.'

And we are back to clueless, and a liar.

The diagnosis is in...

According to medical professionals, McGoofy suffers from popekochalitis; a not so rare delusion largely afflicting Republican politicians.
