Mitt Romney gets a boost this week from a multimillion dollar ad campaign designed to improve the image of Mormons in America.
As an ex-born again Southern Baptist, I mostly just find myself laughing when it comes to all things Mormon. From the magic golden tablets discovered by Joseph Smith to the oh-so-convenient rejection of polygamy, a sacred mandate usurped by political convenience, the whole Church of Latter Day Saints takes faith to a level of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
I can understand why the Mormon Church has taken this moment in history to pour millions into a marketing campaign to boost their public perception. If they play their cards right, they'll not only own the government of Utah, they'll also own the top spot in the good old USA.
