Our poll was right: McCrory caves!

There are no fig leaves big enough to cover McCrory's private parts in this debacle. After threats and warnings and more ultimatums than you can shake a stick at, the Deputy Assistant Governor flat out CAVED, surrendering his integrity and spine to the kooks in the legislature.

We are thrilled.

Gov. Pat McCrory on Friday said he would sign the budget that the legislature has tentatively approved, explaining that it met his demands under the threat of a veto

Met his demands?

Sheesh. I thought I had a big ego...okay, I do, but not that big.

What a joke

He's a legend in his own mind. Hey Pat, you don't "make demands" of people who can and will smack you down when they feel like it.

The truth that Pat can't say, of course, is that it is obvious to everyone that if he did veto the budget, the veto would be overridden faster than Art Pope can take a buck from a poor person.

Now the question is, will he choose a couple inconsequential bills to veto just to show that he can, or did Tillis give him firm orders not to make the legislators come back to Raleigh, because there's campaigning to be done?

Plus, his executive "action" on coal ash

is like a giant condom to protect Duke Energy from politically transmitted diseases. Those Duke folks are qqqqqqquakin' in their boots about all the "oversight" coming their way.

Hilarious stuff. Jon Stewart couldn't write better comedy.

His "executive action"

appears to say "I order DENR to continue to do what they are supposed to do, according to laws". Bet Ann is swooning over her macho man.

Phenomenal restraint

is what I showed by not commenting on James's opening line "...fig leaves big enough to cover McCrory's private parts". See, because that would imply something about the size of Pat's private parts. Which I could have commented on. Sophomorically and/or condescendingly.

But I won't go there. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

Well, not this time. But I reserve future rights.

A one leaf clover

would be more than sufficient to conceal...you know what, you're right. Whatever tiny little secrets the Governor has should probably be left alone. ;)

New poll results

100% of North Carolinians agree with the statement "I think Guvnor Pat's tiny little secrets should be left alone. At least I'm gonna leave them the hell alone. Not going anywhere near there. Ever".

See, this is why I refused to comment in the first place...never mind. ;-)

UPDATE: Further regression analysis indicates that initial poll results were incorrect. The corrected results show that 107% agree with the statement about Pat's tiny little secrets. Margin of error is +/- 3%.
