When you're a champion liar like Pat McCrory, you get to be in the Major League of Lying (aka Fox News). Pat went on TV to lie about North Carolina's unemployment situation.
The governor was on TV to talk about the state’s plunged unemployment rate and reduced federal debt following North Carolina’s decision not to extend long-term jobless benefits.
Varney asked McCrory if he thought cutting those benefits was the way of the future nationally, observing that there seems to be a philosophical conflict among some states over the value of benefits.
There is disagreement about whether cutting jobless benefits led to more jobs in North Carolina, or if the unemployment [sic] just quit looking.
In case there was any doubt, Pat repeated the lie about reduced unemployment benefits leading to increased employment and he repeated the lie that employers told him people weren't taking jobs that were offered until he and Tillisberger cut benefits.
Asked point blank if the unemployment rate was entirely attributable to people taking jobs, versus people dropping out of the workforce, Pat lied and said it was the former. He didn't say "frankly", but you can tell at this point in the video -- you can see it in his eyes -- that he knew this was an easily debunked lie and that the data showed just the opposite, so he immediately changed the subject and started blathering about recruiting and expanding jobs.
The cesspool of lies called Fox News knows where to go to find some of the best lies and liars in the nation!
