Daniel Johnson for North Carolina's Tenth District
Johnson Will Bring His Strength of Character and Bold Leadership to Washington
Pledging to represent the values of North Carolina with character and integrity, Daniel Johnson announced today that he is running to represent North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District in the United States Congress.
"Running for Congress is a continuation of my service to America and the people of North Carolina,” said Johnson. “I look around the area I grew up in, and see people struggling with keeping their jobs, affording their health care and just making ends meet. It is time for a new brand of leadership – one that the people of this district can be proud of. I have the character and the experience needed to be an effective representative for my state.”
Daniel Johnson served in the United States Navy from 1998-2000, receiving the Navy Marine Corps Medal, the Navy’s highest peacetime award for heroism. For the past three years, Daniel Johnson served as an assistant district attorney in North Carolina. As a prosecutor, he began by prosecuting charges of DWI and other misdemeanors and rose to prosecute a wide range of felony cases that included drug trafficking, robbery, and murder.
“I will be a leader who is part of the solution in Washington, not part of the problem. I promise to rise above the divisive politics that have plagued our government for too long, and focus on representing the values and priorities of North Carolina,” Johnson continued. “This means making sure our kids have the heath care they deserve, our families and small businesses get the tax breaks they need, and our veterans are taken care of when they return home.”
Daniel Johnson earned an undergraduate and law degree from the University of North Carolina, where he met his wife, Creecy. He currently resides in his hometown of Hickory.

Help!
If you want to fight McHenry and all he stands for, we need your help in NC-10.
There is life in our district for the first time in a while. We are doing monthly canvasses and phone banks. Democrats are signing up for our '10 hours for the 10th Congressional District' program. For change to happen we all must pitch in at the grassroots level. I invite all of you to be a part of our efforts, on-line and in person.
NC-10
This website is under construction, but it ought to offer some info on how to get involved: http://www.nc10dems.com/

Go Tony and Dan
I'm assumin' Tony McEwen is behind the website . . . our new and highly motivated District Chair.
AND I'm thrilled about Daniel. So fun to have something to be positive about for a change.
Now it's the Democrats turn to make something exciting happen.
News of the 10th district: See Pat Go Bye Bye,
While I'm sure Tony deserves some credit
I believe it is September McCrady who is designing the site. She's does the Iredell dems site too.

Well, then WOOO HOOO to September
That kind of crap is endless and thankless work.
I can't wait to see the 10th wake up to support this wonderful candidate. Even though I don't know her well, I do know that September has always been willing to put in endless hours of thankless work. And that there are many others in the 10th who, through some pretty dark times, have worked tirelessly.
But for Dan to win we are going to need so many more to step up to the plate and join the Septembers. And I think we now have the "perfect storm" to make that happen. A great candidate and a wounded and completely unlikeable incumbent.
This is going to be fun, guys! Let the games begin.
News of the 10th district: See Pat Go Bye Bye,
Daniel Johnson is the real deal.
I've been told disgruntled anti-McHenry Republicans like what they see. An honest real Christian who served in the military with integrity.
It will be pretty funny watching McHenry trying to hide who is really is while standing next to a man who is what McHenry pretends to be.

Dear Daniel.
If you're reading this, know that you can count on me personally to support you every step of the way. You epitomize the values of our country and ways that are both inspiring and humbling.

I have a son serving on the USS Enterprise at this time over
in the Persian Gulf. I am very proud of him and his committment to his country as well as all those who serve and proudly wear the uniform. I'm so glad Daniel has such a committed background and is a seemingly well rounded and exceptional individual.
I'll help any way I can. We need good Representatives in Congress, and I'm sure Daniel will make us proud. Not to mention, if Patty and Daniel are close enough to each other when they have their debate, Daniel's inherent goodness might just make Patty burst into flames. That would be kinda sweet.
North Carolina. Turning the South Blue!
North Carolina. Turning the South Blue!
Glad to hear
about this, finally! As a resident in the 10th, it's been embarrassing listening to that little fart McHenry make his speeches on the House floor, trying so hard to sound venerable and esteemed. (He struts almost as good as his buddy Bush!) This part of the state deserves so much better than we've received from our representative, and Daniel Johnson is someone who can provide it for us. Wallace and Sallie must be tickled to death!
Amen!
This is very great news, isn't it? It's almost enough for me to feel sorry for little Pat McHorny.
NOT!
Thanks...
and thanks again when you email us to volunteer!
The site has a lot of things up and coming, it's sort of bare bones right now while we collect content and I build some things Tony wants. He has great vision and motivation that I hope to live up to.
I can't wait till McHenry is GONE! It'll be nice to get a coherent response from a representative for a change. The insulting and poorly written stuff I get from McHenry drives me mad.
This man is a true American
This man is a true American hero.
