David Moore drops out of House race?

Two Tweets that beg an explanation:

David W Moore‏@MOORE_Carolina 17 May @jonathankappler Moore campaign reinstated as Active today. #NCGA House 74 winable in 2012. #ncpol #ncdp #fcpol

David W Moore‏@MOORE_Carolina 1hr As of today, I am ending all campaign activities for #ncga house 74; changing to unaffiliated. #ncpol #ncdp #ncgop

So...what the hell is going on? He won the Democratic Primary, succeeded in getting his campaign reinstated, and now drops out. Leaving his former Republican opponent unopposed. Am I missing something?

Must be Hacked "This campaign is closed!"

Was his last tweet. That does not sound like him.

If so, they got his Facebook page also

Four hours ago this was posted:

Announcement: As of today I am ending all campaign activities for the 74th House District. This announcement precludes the deactivation of this page.

Spooky stuff

The next think after hacking is taking over the actual person.

Think about it. We could be entering a new era where voters control the actions of virtual political avatars instead of real people.

looks like it is for real

David Wayne Moore, the Democrat running for N.C. House District 74, announced Saturday that he is suspending his campaign, after the Winston-Salem Journal questioned him about his background.

Winston Salem Journal

Yikes!

One of the skeletons in my closet just said, "See! I told you we weren't that bad!"

My life so far has been so

My life so far has been so boring.

I'm a moderate Democrat.

Sounds like he's

Republican material to me...

This might explain.

The Winston-Salem Journal is reporting that David Wayne Moore dropped out after the newspaper questioned him about his background.
The newspaper says Moore has a $15,000 tax lien for back child support in Texas and convictions for assault and driving while impaired, according to court records. He has two domestic violence protective orders filed against him by his ex-girlfriend, although both were dismissed, the paper reports. The paper also reported finding a number of financial problems, including two bankruptcy filings, it reported.
Moore denied any wrongdoing, the paper said.

Yeah, but it doesn't explain this:

MOORE_Carolina 1:30pm via Twitter for Android
I call on the immediate resignation of the #Forsyth Democratic Party chair & officers. #ncpol

And after the recent NCDP SEC fiasco, I'm not sure I even want to know.

Scratch that. Of course I want to know. Being a fiction writer, I've already created the plot to the story in my head. I just want to know how close my story is to the truth.

Explanation for that one:

He's probably pissed off at her because she said this:

Campbell, the local Democratic Party chairwoman, said last week that she was not aware of Moore's background. She did contact him about problems with his campaign committee, which were eventually resolved.
"We have no control over who files for office," she said in an interview a week earlier. "Someone with this kind of history is problematic."

No Doubt A Vast Criminal Misunderstanding In Politics

Some days are just not up to a venting of one's background...Like this poor Dude......

Then again, maybe not

Moore appears to be back in the race:

David Wayne Moore, the Democrat who announced Saturday he was suspending his campaign for N.C. House District 74, said this week on his social media pages that he is staying in the race.

Okay, I'm going to make up a rule. I don't want anybody to try to get it included in the Plan Of Organization, because, you know. That shit's confusing enough as it is. That said, if anybody breaks said rule, I will post an excoriating, self-righteous, over-the-top, ad hominem-laced blog post exposing the infraction.

Anyway, here's the rule: You can only shout "Goodbye, cruel world!" once during a campaign for public office. In less ambiguous terms, you can only quit one time. If you un-quit, you're in for the duration. That is all.
