I went out this morning and pulled weeds from my garden. Dirt therapy.
I don't see how she's going to come out on top, but I sure do hope the campaigns back off of nuking each other going forward. You've been a good advocate for your candidate.

PS All I know about you is your support for Hillary. What else are you up to? I hope we can keep you involved here even if Obama's the nominee. I admire your persistence.
I am a political junkie- I grew up in Greensboro- went to College at NCSU (communications) and then finished up in Wilmington NC. Wilmington is really where I started participating in politics- first volunteering- then got picked up by the Human Rights Campaign for the independent expenditure against Helms in 96. After that I was hooked. Julia's run for County Commissioner was the first campaign I managed. I love Julia's courage and I am very proud of public service. After that race in 2000, my partner was offered a job at NYU, I was offered a job with Margarita Lopez- an outstanding NYC council member. Radical- wide open, unapologetic progressive. It was there I was introduced the big boys of the labor movement. The less I say about that the better...I believe in the labor movement- but with all movements- their is always room for improvement. :-)
I was offered a position with a small SEIU local in Salinas CA and accepted. I served as the communication director- from there, I moved up to the South Bay area and began working with the South Bay Labor Council and Working Partnerships, USA. My goal through all of the twist and turns- was to gain as much knowledge as possible - and return to the South to help thread the needle of progressive politics at the local level.
I really like BlueNC's community- obviously I am in the minority when it comes to Presidential candidate preference- but I like the dialogue here- and I love the slogan- the people's think tank. So, for as long as you folks will have me...I will stick around.

Grrrl ... it sounds like you have many many options, but if I could just throw a plea your way ... get thee to the NCDP!!! Please? They're still looking for a constituent services director, I think. ???

I love Julia's courage and I am very proud of public service.
This is the heart of it. This is exactly how I feel about my own involvement.
Kudos to you, honey, and please stick with us.
I'm proud of Hillary. I am proud of Obama. I really wish this choice between the two of them weren't necessary. And I'm tired of the sniping between their supporters and am very, very ready to see the party come together.

I hope you stay around BlueNC for a while. You are absolutely a wonderful addition to our community. Your passion for your chosen candidate is something we can all understand, even if some of us have the passion for a different candidate.

I'm outside sorting signs.
I figured out how to recycle Dan Besse's signs. The cardboard is stacked neatly and can be sued [edit....hahaha USED...it can be USED] for school projects and the wire frames will become my bean and pea trellises. That and mowing has been my therapy today. Moving forward - researching Dole, Hayes and Myrick. I don't want to take a break.......that whole fierce urgency of now thing is keeping me working.

You're more optimistic than me...
My second stick figure's mouth would have more of a straight line, with a slight up curve on both sides...
Spent this morning cleaning up the F-ville Hillary office.
Blegh. That's me today...one big "Blegh."
