Did Sue Myrick know about what Mark Foley was doing?

Looking at this gives this Charlotte Dem one other reason to hate Sue Myrick.

A Republican staff member warned congressional pages five years ago to watch out for Congressman Mark Foley, according to a former page.

Matthew Loraditch, a page in the 2001-2002 class, told ABC News he and other pages were warned about Foley by a supervisor in the House Clerk's office.

Loraditch, the president of the Page Alumni Association, said the pages were told "don't get too wrapped up in him being too nice to you and all that kind of stuff."

Based on this, it's a pretty safe bet that similar warnings about Foley were issued at the start of every Congress until now. Now, who in our delegation has been a member of the House leadership in that time frame? Yep, Sue Myrick--she's been a deputy whip since 2003.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get Jack Flynn to take another run at her, and at the moment Bill Glass is badly underfunded. But if Sue can't tell us what she knew about Foley and when she knew it ...

The Party of Torture and Perverts

is collapsing in a heap of putrid stink. But that's doesn't mean they won't fight like hell to hold on to their power. In fact, they may fight even harder because if the Dems get control, the Torturers are going to be in a deep world of hurt, no pun intended.

The people I know in DC say EVERYONE in the Party of Torture and Perverts knew exactly what was going on ... and they turned a blind eye. How NCGOP reactionaries can stomach this sleaze is beyond me, but don't expect them to raise their voices in opposition. Because for all their talk about integrity and honor, people like John Hood and Art Pope are nothing but two-bit partisan hacks. The only people in their party they criticize are those who aren't extreme enough to support the Puppetmaster's government-hating agenda.

The Jack Ryan race

This is how Obama was elected, by Jack Ryan exploding in a sex scandal. If we find out that she knew and hid it, I think we'll have a fairly unprepared Bill Glass in the House for two years.

Looks like this act, or rather lack of...

violates a couple of the articles in their Contract With America...First, require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply equally to the Congress;
Second, selelct a major, independent auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud or abuse

ok, the second may be a stretch, but damn it, they touted this contract as if it were the answer to all our legislative problems, instead, THEY have become the legislative problem!

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.
