My fear is if there is ever a session without the requisite number of people to defend the veto, then that will be when the veto override is reconsidered. And since the proponents of the override used the parliamentary trick of having someone vote against the override when they saw they didn't have the votes, they can reconsider it basically any time they are in session, even in these quickie-sessions they keep pulling, since it is basically in a veto-garage waiting to pulled out any time. We cannot let our guard down or we could wind up stuck with bad election law changes, that disenfranchise many North Carolinians and create confusion for even more, with less than a year to go before a major election.
