Does Libby 'do nothing' Dole hate Women, Children, and the Middle Class? ....... Would she eat a Puppy? Well according to her voting record, and her fundraising schemes ......

Child abuse?

When North Carolina sent Libby 'do nothing' Dole to Washington, it was with the understanding that she look after the State of North Carolina, and our proud Tarheel people - She ran as 'one of us' after all. What we didn't send her to Washington for was to destroy the middle class, hate women, and condemn thousands of our poorest CHILDREN to sickness because of a lack of the most basic Health care - ears, nose and throat stuff, like they take care of in, lets say, Iran maybe?

Children don't have any say whatsoever in their Health coverage, and Libby 'do nothing' voted to keep it that way! In fact she took their health care away altogether.

As all parents know, sending your child to school during the Winter months you can expect them to get sick - it is just the way it is.

What we don't expect - nor often consider - is that the less fortunate children among us don't have even the most basic healthcare services to cover the common cold. The effects of these common viruses on poor children are the same on everyone else's; and chances are the 'bugs' floating around schools are being circulated over and over again because of a lack of Healthcare for the less fortunate in the classroom.

So what - Say's Libby 'do nothing' Dole with her vote. Tough! Poor kids need wealthier parents - and that is basically her prescription.

HR 3963 The Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act

The Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act expands the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and reauthorizes it for five years.

SCHIP, founded in 1997, currently provides health insurance coverage to 6 million children from low- and middle-income families who cannot afford private health insurance. The program is jointly financed by the federal and state
governments and is administered by the states.

This bill enables states to enroll 3.9 million children who would otherwise be uninsured. Coverage for dental and mental health care is guaranteed for the first time. While the bill makes it easier to enroll pregnant women in SCHIP, it phases out coverage for low-income parents who are currently covered in some states.

The bill provides federal incentives for states to make intensive efforts to enroll more of the lowest-income uninsured children in Medicaid. The legislation costs $35.4 billion over five years above the current level of funding. The increased funding is paid for by a 61-cent increase in cigarette taxes and other tobacco taxes.

The program is not open to undocumented immigrants.

Dole - ing it out to middle class Millionaires ?

But that is not the only thing Libby 'do nothing' has done to the the good people of North Carolina.

She actully voted against The temporary tax relief act of 2007! I can only imagine her 'reasons' for doing such a thing - including clearly not knowing what she was doing - I mean Jiminy Christmas, is this what North Carolina sent her to Washington to do?

Making sure that the out of State billionaires get a loop hole to avoid paying taxes, and considering a $45,000 Tarheel household as unworthy of a tax break in these lean economic times is just, well, out of touch with reality - don't you think?

HR 3936 The Temporary Tax Relief Act of 2007

The Temporary Tax Relief Act of 2007 is a one-year extension of tax exemptions and credits with offsetting tax increases targeted at wealthy equity fund managers.

The act prevents the extension of the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) to more than 20 million middle-class taxpayers. The MT was enacted in 1969 to ensure that the richest Americans were not able to avoid paying taxes.

However, because the AMT is not indexed for inflation, households making as little as $45,000 a year and individuals making as little as $33,750 a year would be subject to tax increases on their 2007 returns.

The bill increases the AMT exemption to $66,250 for joint filers and $44,350 for individuals. The legislation also extends and increases tax credits that offset both the AMT and the regular income tax such as the child tax credit and the credit for payment of state and local taxes.

Keeping women in their place, in the workplace....

Samuel Alito - the Supreme Court Con-Swerve-and-Twist activist judge - recently quashed the hope of any kind of fair play with regard to Women in the work place.

In essence what ALito said was that a Women has no right of recourse - or back pay - when her compensation does not equal that of a man - including being paid less than her reports - if she does not file a complaint with 180 days.

Kurt Vonnegut wrote Catch 22, a novel, that has eerie similarities to the case of Lilly Ledbetter VS Goodyear Tire and Rubber. The one thing every Human Resource department tells it's employees is that you NEVER DISCUSS YOUR SALARY - period, end of story.

So among the many things a women nows has to do besides learn the new job, or do the new job, is to somehow find out if her compensation is 'honest.' Or, in Ledbetters case, whether her reports are being paid more than she is when they are hired. How was Ms Ledbetter to find out if her compensation was commensurate with her performance or job title? Was she supposed to ask around, which would be just cause for her being fired?

Now, don't get me wrong, if you accept a salary then that is your business. But, if you accept a offered salary for a job that is being offered to a man at a higher salary level than you - because, I guess he does not need to sit down to pee - then that is a whole different ball of wax; especially when you have worked for Company for dozens of years.

Men may think they deserve more pay for equal work - don't know why, we just do (it only 2008 after all.) - but what we men do not realize is that we are putting ourselves behind the eight ball, knowing we are at an economic disadvantage going in to a job interview, or when the layoffs begin.

HR 2831 The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act

The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Play Act amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other anti-discrimination laws to clarify at which points in time discriminatory actions qualify as an “unlawful employment practice. According to the legislation, unlawful conduct occurs when:

(1) a discriminatory compensation decision or other practice is adopted;
(2) an individual becomes subject to the decision or practice; or
(3) an individual is affected by application of the decision or practice, including each time compensation is paid.”

The law further states that individuals may receive back pay as compensation for discrimination that occurred up to two years preceding the filing of a charge.

Again, either Libby 'do nothing' Dole likes to see women at the bottom of the pay scale, or she wants to put men at an economic disadvantage during layoffs; I just don't know. Judging by her vote against this simple measure it may very well be both. Either way it was not why we sent her to Washington, and clearly she has forgotten the Women, Men and middle-class of her constituency.

But would she really eat a puppy?

This all leads back to the question; "Would Libby 'do nothing' Dole eat a Puppy?"

Dole has been in the pockets of high roller campaign donors since she her ill run Presidential Campaign. She takes huge amounts of cash from Finance groups, Healthcare organisations, and big business. I suspect that if a Korean 'Restaurant' delegation came to her with the offer of 'big' cash, that she may very well entertain the thought of eating a Puppy.

According to MiddleClass.org - a watchdog site concerned with the issues of the middle class - Libby 'do nothing' Dole's report card looks like this;
