Dole in Lumberton, Thursday
Dole was in Lumberton Thursday for a private fund raiser. According to the Robesonian, the local paper, Dole's answer to high food cost is to introduce legislation that would limit the amount of corn that could be used for ethanol therefor decreasing the amount of ethanol produced and lowing the price of corn which farmers receive for their crops. Farmers are hard pressed because of Energy Cost (fuel, fertilizer, etc), cutting the price of what they receive for the crops would be a travesty. Dole's answer to food cost "curbing the production of ethanol". I hope the farmers all across North Carolina listens to Dole's program of putting more farmers out of business. I know there are more people who eat corn than grow corn but folk's this is not a answer. Lucky for us Dole is one of the least effective senators or we would be in real trouble.

We want to get ElectriCities issue raised in Lumberton

Al Manning, retiree, native of eastern NC and proud of it, plenty of time to read, research and get annoyed about the lack of accountability in elected leaders these days. Married to a real southern lady and we live with two labs and two airedales who run
