Don't ask, 'cause there's no difference
As Democrats flip-flop relentlessly and equivocate with abandon, DADT repeal slides backwards. The polling is conclusive -- even in NC. GOP figures like Dick Cheney give political cover for DADT repeal.
But Congressional Democrats refuse to act. If Congressional Democrats won't act on this when the path to victory is clear, then I don't know why they should be in the majority.
North Carolina Democrats have seats on both the Senate (Hagan) and House Armed Services Committees (Kissell and McIntyre).
While I don't relish the idea of putting Burr back into office, I can't help but ponder starting a campaign to write-in Harvey Milk on US Senate and US House ballots in November if this historic Democratic-majority Congress refuses to repeal DADT.
They just seem to take LGBT votes for granted, and I've about had enough.
I'm not asking for anything that's political suicide, just DADT repeal.
Great polling, cover from Cheney, what more do they need?
The better question is, what do I have to lose?
It seems nothing.
GOP in charge = no DADT repeal
Dems in charge = no DADT repeal
Enough questions. There's just no difference.

For what its worth
I've asked all 3 candidates about DADT, and here were their responses.
Ken: "I’m a firm believer that we should not discriminate against people. That’s part of my core belief structure. We have men and women of all sexual orientations serving in the military. The idea that we would remove an officer or anyone because of his or her sexual orientation is abhorrent to me."
Elaine: "support abolishing DADT (if people will serve, we should honor them. Period)"
Cal: "to being in favor of ending DADT (and refusing to chapter anyone out of the Army for allegations while the senior-most prosecutor in Iraq)"
And James asked my question about DADT to Cal at the Jane's Salon event that he covered on BlueNC radio recently at which Cal repeated his support for ending DADT.

And President said "this year" in the State of the Union.
And the article you linked
That guy is under so many delusions I have trouble believing anything he says. And I'd point out he's a member of the Lieberman Party, not the Democratic Party. But for my part, not that I don't trust them, but I'm going to get Kenneth, Cal, and Elaine on the record saying they're against DADT as often and as publicly as I can to make sure it sticks.
Wonder how the majority in America thinks on DADT?
Even though it seems on the surface that the majority of the people in the U.S. do not sanction gay marriage and so forth, their beliefs on DADT is FAR different.
This is an extremely telling set of polls on that issue and because of what I am seeing here on gays serving in the military, it seems like idiocy that this has not been been brought up in the legislature and why DADT policy has not been overturned.
What in the heck is the hold up? I am just so puzzled on this one.
