DownWithTyranny!: Two Democratic Candidates in N.C.
Howie Klien has explored two of North Carolina's options for Democratic representation in the house, and get the corrupt, tie breaking CAFTA congressmen out of office. I agree with the opinions he's drawn about Kissell and Shuler. I wonder when Bill Glass will begin to attract attention. He's running against Sue Myrick, (R-9th CD), who rode the "Contract with America" to Congress in 1994. It seems to me that their 12 years is up, to deliver an accountable House (HA! I amuse myself....). Thanks to BlueNC for letting me even know that Bill Glass was running against Sue, and that Patrick Henry (he who voted against the Voting Rights Act) has an opponent too.
Now go read Howie's great article about the two races that are getting netroots support. You can add your own, too. ;)
North Carolina has 13 congressmen. Six are Democrats and they all seem pretty safe bets for re-election in November. All 7 Republicans have Democratic challengers but two are already poised to defeat powerfully entrenched GOP incumbents. What these two races have in common is that their opponents are both far right loons and Bush rubber-stamps. Let's take a quick look at each of them and the districts.
DownWithTyranny!: TWO DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES IN NORTH CAROLINA-- LARRY KISSELL AND HEATH SHULER

Saw this when he posted
I was so happy to see Howie take interest in our NC races. He's done a great job helping Larry. Thanks for bringing this back up because we can never link often enough to these great posts to keep them high on Google searches.

Vote Democratic, the ass you save may be your own.
Maybe we need a strategery session
to see what we can do to give a lift to other Dems in a more concentrated way?
Do good. Be nice. Have fun.
2008
Right now, Republicans have raised a bunch of money, they have name rec, and the election is a couple months away.
NEXT time, people like Glass need to do whatever it was that Larry did this time. Get a buzz going early so money can come in to the campaign. Once again, at this point I think the best chance for these races is to pull some crazy ad stunt. Get it played once in prime time and then over and over again on the TV news for free.
Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.
