Election 2012 must-have: Lillian's List
Looking for a worthy candidate to support? Look no more:
Lillian's List took bold steps this election year by endorsing 26 pro-choice Democratic women running for the legislature and Council of State – our largest group ever! We've analyzed the districts and identified 10 General Assembly races in which our candidates are facing serious threats and need your help. Please consider supporting one of the following women.
Some of you may be uncomfortable focusing on gender as a motivator in this election. But unless you've been living under a rock, you already know that gender has been a focus on the right, and not in a good way. Women have been losing rights on the public policy front, and losing seats in our Legislature. And it's long past time to do something about it.
Lillian's List 2012 Winston-Salem Reception
Friday, October 5
5:30-7:30 p.m.
at the home of Libba EvansMeet and mingle with the Lillian's List Featured Candidates running for the General Assembly in the Forsyth County area! We'll be joined by special guests Gov. Bev Perdue, U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan and NC Sen. Linda Garrou.
When I contemplate the many things we could do to improve the way state government operates and secure a better future for our children in NC, I keep coming back to the need to have more women, and especially progressive women, sitting in those General Assembly and Council of State seats.
BlueNC is dedicated to freedom and fairness for the people of North Carolina. If you share that vision, welcome. If your intention is to disrupt our efforts, please find somewhere else to express your opinions.
