Posting and blogging is great, but we need to put boots on the ground to get people elected! Work as a poll greeter and make sure that voters know they HAVE to mark their ballots for Obama separately from the straight party Democrats on the rest of the ballot. They also have to turn over the ballot to vote separately for each and every judge and candidates in other non-partisan races. But how will voters know about this and about straightening out voter registration issues if there is no one at the polls to help them out? Start: Oct 19 2008 2:00 pm

Baracktoberfest
A fun-filled afternoon featuring beer, festive food, live music and a raffle. Bands will include Monument Club (Indie rock covers), The Saxapahaw Social Club (Rockabilly), The Tim Stambaugh Band (Bluegrass), and The Marla Vickers Band (Alt-Country).
