Fair and Balanced Campaign Advertising in NC-11?

I just encoded and uploaded another Taylor ad (more on that later - Google Video is still processing it. They must be busy right now) that I grabbed from a two-hour chunk of programming from our local BushCo-approved Sinclair Broadcast Group mouthpiece, WLOS, that I TiVo'd last night. (Actually, I TiVo'd four hours of it, but it's all infomercials after Kimmel...)

While I was skimming through it, I decided to keep score as far as the number of campaign ads that were being shown...

In two hours, from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am, these ads ran:

- 3 ads paid for by the NRCC
- 4 ads paid for by Taylor for Congress
- 3 ads paid for by Heath Shuler for Congress

I guess the D-Trip decided to either spend their money elsewhere or shoot another ad. Their old one went out-of-date pretty quickly.

Anyway, just some food for thought... I'm going to TiVo a chunk of daytime programming tomorrow, just to see if the number of ad plays trends in a similar way.

That's a good idea

We have a DVR and I hadn't thought of taping a chunk of time when I don't usually watch to see if/when ads are playing.

ads?

It must be so odd to see ads. I haven't seen an ad yet here in NC04, and I don't expect to anytime soon.

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.
