Friday fracking video

My audio went out

shortly into this, so I'm relying on the integrity of the USGS to make this accurate if not wildly entertaining.

Which reminds me of an argument I get into frequently with a friend of mine. He's not really a Tea Partier per se (African-American), but he's definitely a conspiracy theorist. He's also a loyal union member, but that's probably because a) better paycheck, and b) unions are the last defense against a tyrannical government. ;)

Anyway, whenever he gets too far out, I have to reel him back in, which inevitably results in the "gotcha" absolutist question: "Oh, so you believe the government never makes a mistake!" Or something along those lines. Mix and match, shake and stir.

The truth is, in most cases, the Federal government bureaucracy (agencies, whatever) are the most accurate sources of information. Because you've always got somebody in your back pocket or looking over your shoulder, trying to justify their existence by pointing out even the slightest inaccuracy. Tedious, but the truth is worth it.

I don't know about the feds

but my strength is concepts and strategy and theory and also facts.
