Gov. Perdue joins in calling for David Parker's resignation

Governor Perdue joins top state Democrats calling for Parker to resign

Gov. Bev Perdue joins the chorus of top state Democrats calling for N.C. Democratic Party chairman David Parker to resign, in the wake of allegations of harassment and a cover-up within the party leadership.

In a statement, Perdue said she talked with Parker "several times today and told him that he had lost the confidence of Democratic leaders..."

"I asked him to step aside for the good of the Party," said Perdue. "I told him that the Party had to get back to focusing on our core values: strengthening schools, creating jobs and expanding opportunities for all North Carolinians."

Dear Governor Perdue

You are not running for office in 2012. Active Democrats like those in Wake County practically threw paid political consultant Perry Woods out of the room along with his resolution condemning Parker and Parmley because it was too harsh and because it called for a judgement to be made before all the facts were out.

Perry Woods was too gutless to let this resolution go down in flames because of the rather classless things he did earlier that day. It seems that nothing is sacred to Woods in protecting his cash flow!
