Grasssroots Farm Team Update - from Cambridge, MA!

I'm up in New England visiting friends and working on a special project I hope to show off next week - a video you can send to friends that explains why voting for Republican Richard Burr is the worst choice you can make at the polls this November.

Quick Hits:

  • Elaine Marshall did an amazing job on WFAE last night. We couldn't be there, but we caught it on the web.
  • Speaking of Elaine, you should VOTE FOR HER RIGHT NOW in this EMILY's List poll and send it to all of your friends!
  • Ann Newman is having a fundraiser next week and making a big splash in House 103, which is easily the most competitive NC House district held by a retiring Republican.
  • The Farm Team has started a big facebook ad campaign to build our network for election season. We're asking our friends to join our network and Donate Hamiltons to Beat Burr. By the way, if you'd like to help as well, Retweet us or donate here!
  • If you're a progressive, first- or second-time candidate who'd like to be included in our update, email NCFarmTeam <:at:> gmail.com.

We're doing a lot of good work. Please take some ABC money and make a contribution to the Farm Team today. If you'd rather help in other ways, you can reach us at @NCFarmTeam on twitter, on our Facebook Fan Page, or by e-mail at NCFarmTeam <:at:> gmail.com.

Cheers,

ROFL

I clicked on the WFAE link you provided, and read this:

Marshall's opponent, Republican Senator Richard Burr, has so far declined to participate in a similar forum on public radio. A campaign spokesman says Burr is too busy voting on legislation in Washington.

I think a more accurate wording would have been too busy preventing voting from happening on legislation in Washington.

Great comment, Jake

"Burr" and "busy" are two words that should never be used in the same sentence.

Love that Hamilton reference

You could also say: "We need to stop Burr now before he tries to become Emperor of Mexico!"

But that would probably fly over the heads of anybody that's not a history geek...

Newman in 103

Thanks for the shout out. We are neck and neck with our opponent and things are going to get interesting.

Good luck

Party affiliation aside, we need more hands-on health care providers in the GA and fewer real estate brokers/financiers/developers/speculators warming those seats.
