Haiti, how we all can help

The situation in Haiti is horrendous. I just listened to a report on my car radio while coming back home that said that the authorities there were having to resort to looking for "fly swarms" to find bodies. I am pretty much of an hard-hearted individual on many things, but I have to admit that brought a tear to my eye, well, truth is it made me cry thinking about it. These people are human beings being dealt a horrible blow to their lives/existance. America is a very giving country.

So, instead of my normal piddly $25 I committed to send to Cal Cunningham this next month, it is going to the Red Cross. Here is how we all can help, and I am sure most folks already know this, but wanted to put it here in any case:

Re: Haiti

After much research, Jane and I are offering our support to an organization called Partners in Health.

Heard this morning that Cuba will allow

the US to use it's airport as staging area to fly those needing extensive medical care out of Haiti. That example of putting asided differences to take care of our brothers and sisters in need should be highlighted on every teevee station in America. Will it?
