Harry Reid coming to Cary, NC?

Apparently Senator Hagan has invited Harry Reid to NC for a fundraiser. Anybody heard anything about it?

Didn't invite me

I guess maybe all my complaining has finally gotten me off their likely donor list.

I'm sure the banksters will be there to give the payoffs....

for keeping any meaningful legislation out of the financial 'reform' bill. Hagan showed her corporate colors in tabling Dorgan's amendment to shut down the credit default swaps.

Maybe the lawyers going to throw money at Reid

...will ask him why he hasn't scheduled a vote on NC's Fourth Circuit nominees (Judges Wynn and Diaz).

They've only been waiting for a floor vote since January.

Can't Kay find someone else?

It seems to me that just about anybody would raise more money and bring better visibility to Hagan than Harry Reid...how about Joe Sestak, for example?

Can't she help someone from NC?

Cal Cunningham or Elaine Marshall maybe?

US Senate fundraising

James I too find it odd that she would help Reid at this time. I do see where the event could siphon contributions from North Carolinians who would have otherwise given to the Marshall or Cunningham camps. N&O has an article today about runoff funds.

Hagan and Burr

Pro-usury senators from North Carolina.

Seriously. Here's the vote from yesterday.

I'm sure they'll be plenty of bankers at this fundraiser too.

I'm not sure why we even have a US Senate when it's this dysfunctional and anti-citizen.

I know, I know. To serve its corporate masters.

Anybody done writing on a unicameral legislature lately?

Creating a second house could, by contrast, be creating a nightmare along the lines of the United States Senate.
