Have You Had Enough? You've Got to See This!

Not long ago I posted about a song that had been put together by The Squirrel Nut Zippers and Rickie Lee Jones called "Have You Had Enough?" It was inspired by our very own Larry Kissell's Blue America session at FireDogLake.

This past Saturday Howie Klein highlighted another great North Carolina Democrat, Roger Sharpe, in another Blue America session. The song has been turned into a little video and they've been putting these together for the Blue America candidates.

Not only were they impressed enough with Roger Sharpe to turn this around immediately, but Tommy Yum...aka Tom Maxwell of the Squirrel Nut Zippers has offered to do a concert for Roger Sharpe. Details of that are still in the works.

For your viewing pleasure....

I love this song

I listen to it multiple times each day.

Simply Awesome.

The only possible improvement would be a "donate here" link in the post somewhere. :)

Thanks Betsy!

Thank you for putting this up! I am not the most computer literate.

Have you had enough of Foxx? You can donate here.

Thanks, BlueNC and FireDogLake for posting this wonderful video!

Peace,
Drew Lumpkin

I have him on my actblue page which can be found

HERE.....donate to Roger Sharpe here...and then drop a few bucks to the other good Dems I have listed as well.

Holy mackerel!

This is FANTASTIC!

Please, please, please, email this entry to five people. Here's the messaging I'm going to use:

Hello!

I'm so excited that I really have to share this with you. It's a wonderful piece of political activism ... sourced and motivated by conversations happening out on the Internets.

I don't know how blogs will ultimately fit in the world of politics, but if they can help spread accomplishments like this, well, that's pretty promising.

Please follow the link and click on the image. You're going to love this. The story behind it - written by one my blogging friends - is pretty cool too.

Just click on "email this page" in the lower right and there you go!

And please pass this to five other people. Thanks!

Wow. Sharpe is on the move.

Republicans have "No plan, no shame, no oversight" and poll numbers are showing Dems surging in races all over the U.S.

Time to boost these next tier races and light a fire under that GOP pucker factor! :) Roger's getting a couple $$ from me tonight.

"They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people a dollar 'n a half just to see 'em. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

I'm biased, but....

this race gets more and more winnable every day. I love Kissell and Shuler, and will support them in any way I can, but you gotta love Roger's chances. A true underdog story.

niiiiiiiiiiice!

(so, is tom maxwell back with the squirrel nut zippers then?)

"we're banging pots and pans / to make you understand / we're gonna bury you, man"

I think Tom and Ken

are just bringing SNZ back to help promote political candidates maybe....I don't know.

I used to live in Statesville for a brief year or so. I will do my best to make it to the fundraiser and we'll add it to the calendar.

huge...

I wonder if they would consider a benefit concert for him up here in Chapel Hill? They would probably have a huge crowd, a HUUUUUUUUGE crowd.

best political ad i've seen

best political ad i've seen thus far this season.

Oh man, That is affective!

If that doesn't get the attention of the people, what will?

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.
