Holding's "stewardship" of taxpayer dollars
Don't take my word for it, look at what the guy has to say for himself. Just what we need. Another fast-talking political aristocrat who hates government ... except for that part that includes his job.
Holding, who stayed on into the Obama Administration for two and a half years to pursue the Edwards case and a case against a another Democratic officeholder, rejected claims that politics played a role in his office's aggressive investigation and prosecution of the two-time presidential candidate and 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee.
"There are always going to be charges this is a political case. That just comes with the territory," the former U.S. Attorney said. "The defense made a motion that the case was brought for political reasons and the judge ruled there was no evidence of that....I feel very comfortable that we did carry out our duties."
Holding is expected to easily prevail in November's general election for the Congressional seat, but his Democratic opponent, Charles Malone, jumped on the Justice Department's decision Wednesday as evidence that the case should never have been brought.
"It is apparent now that George Holding, while wanting government to cut to the bone otherwise, was willing to throw millions of the taxpayer’s money away to settle old political scores," Malone said in a statement. "This case was weak from a legal standpoint and while it raised campaign reporting issues suitable for study by Federal elections officials, it never reached the standard of being a criminal violation."

How much did Holding's political witch hunt
cost American taxpayers?
Come on, Mr. Holding. Tell us exactly how many taxpayer dollars you flushed down the toilet on your absurd and misguided vanity fair?
And given that you said you have no regrets about that waste, is that the kind of stewardship we should expect if you happen to be able to buy your way into Congress?
