I'm really worried.

The warning signals are everywhere.

His back against the wall on all fronts, George Bush is cooking the intelligence to justify another preemptive war, this time against Iran.

No serious effort is being made by Congress to reign the lunatic in.

I honestly believe that Bush considers himself chosen by god to bring about the end-times. And I have to say, it looks like god picked the right guy.

All war. All the time. It's good for business.

This is the part that worries me most.

No serious effort is being made by Congress to reign the lunatic in.

Maybe this fall will be different.

Maybe

But early indications suggest not. There doesn't even appear to be Congressional push back on the additional $50 billion Bush just asked for in supplemental funding.

I would be shocked if Congress doesn't capitulate.

Congress must suspend

the war powers act and only allow bush to retaliate against another sovereign nation. Once a new pres gets in office, that pres can have the war powers act until (s)he proves they cannot handle the responsibility, then take it away again. Set the presidence now.

Congress must stand up and say that we are not going to start any war against another nation unless that nation is an aggressor to us.

We do not need to be posturing or saber rattling at Iran. I dont like Iran, but I do not see any reason to attack them. If they do get a nuke and they use it, then a glass parking lot must be created in the desert. However, getting a nuke is not reason to preemptively strike them.

With a nuclear weapon comes the responsibility of keeping peace on the planet. Any nation that wants that weapon had better also want peace and want peace more then that weapon. We do not have a responsibility to stop nations from getting a nuke. Will our nation be in a scarier position with Iran a nuclear nation? I think so. I just dont think it is that critical to go killing them over it. But if they use it on us or our allies, then respond in kind.

Lots of weird stuff going on everywhere

I think "they" will find a war to be a wonderful distraction from all of the weirdness.
