Joe Biden grabs some respect from me today

Every one needs to hear this fabulous speech by Joe Biden.
He gained real stature in my eyes.

When he's on, no one can match him--phenomenal speech. He's so clean and articulate--just kidding. It takes true talent to pack that much punch in the short amounts of time these ladies and gentlemen get in their debates.

Really, he's one of the great tragedies of our party--a guy so equipped with so many of the tools to be a great leader, but he is capable of sabotaging himself at the drop of a hat. And it's usually stupid stuff, like plagiarising speeches or calling black people "articulate."

It's a shame. I'd love to see him replace Reid as majority leader, or maybe Obama could forgive him with a Sec of Defense slot in his admin.

Do you think Edwards will let his VP pick Sec of Defense?

Not saying at all that BO has it wrapped up, just thought it would be ironic for him to be giving an articulate white man a job in his admin.

Edwards-Obama would be a 16 year dream, no doubt.

Can you imagine if we were just starting year 17 of the Clinton/Gore era? The only downside would be that Joe Lieberman would "be someone".

After he advocated going to war with the entire Middle East after 9/11. He would have then promoted John Kerry as VP and charged him with tackling the terrorist problem with policing initiatives (as Kerry outlined in his 90s book on terrorism). Bin Laden would have been caught within 90 days of 9/11, and Kerry, of all damn people, would be a superhero and a foregone conclusion for 2008. The only GOPer dumb enough to run against him would be Ralph Reed, who would lose all 50 states.
