Koch associate to help Renee Ellmers communicate

Knowing the right lies to tell is important:

Today is Tom Doheny’s first day on Capitol Hill, where he is serving as Press Secretary for freshman Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC).

He previously was in the Charles G. Koch Foundation Associate Program at American for Prosperity from 2009-2010.

Translated: Paid by Koch, used by AFP.

For those of you who didn't follow the Christine O'Donnell debacle in Delaware, where the Tea Party upstart won the Republican Primary and subsequently lost the General Election to Democrat Chris Coons, Doheny was right in the middle of that mess:

The state party chairman, Tom Ross, spent weeks laying into O’Donnell in interview after interview. His message: She was a delusional liar who wasn’t fit to be dog catcher, much less senator.

Nearly two days after the polls closed, Ross has finally released a statement of faint reconciliation. “After a hard fought primary it is time to come together and unite over our shared principles and determination to rescue our economy from the destructive policies advanced by Democrats,” he said.

Asked why there was no mention of O’Donnell in the statement, state GOP spokesman Thomas Doheny said: “Everything we are able to say right now is in the statement.”

But what Doheny wasn't "able to say" in that interview comes out in a later Tweet in relation to O'Donnell's poor showing in pre-election polls:

Yeah, that's real nice, Tom. You better kiss and make up to the Tea Party folks before they tar and feather you and run you out of town on a rail.

This Tweet made me laugh outloud:

Back home in DC for good!

Yeah, see, that's not something people usually brag about, Tom...

In case you overlooked the date reference

in the "witch" Tweet above, Doheny was still working for the Delaware GOP at the time, meaning he slurred the Senate candidate he was supposed to be working for.
