Kos gives love to...
Larry Kissell.
Larry Kissell (NC-08): I love this campaign because it's been done right -- despite having little money, Kissell and his team have built fervent local support, they've been innovative, have done things differently for effect. They didn't sit around whining about lack of party support -- they built their own. This may be the most people-powered race of this cycle. This was a later addition to the list as the campaign proved to naysayers that they were a legitimate and viable operation. It's now on the "emerging races" list.
Granted, no mention of the incredible work done by the BlueNCers that got his name out there, pounded the pavement canvassing, ring the phones off the hook, etc. But, I know that I speak for everyone when I say only one thing matters.
pardon the totally crappy photoshop job!!!

I thought this was a nice nod.
The Kissell Effect is alive and well!
Do good. Be nice. Have fun.
It is a great nod to the Kissell campaign.
I just feel that SD and others have played a large role in getting this campaign front and center. No mention from the large blogs can be translated as woeful ignorance or purposeful ignorance.

Congrats!
I read that this morning. A great nod from Kos.
I don't care who gets the credit, I just want my brother back from the Army. Selfish, I know, but Bush's arrogance is not worth my brother's life.

wow
On October 8th, at 11 am Larry was under 70,000 dollars on actblue, with about 1600 donors.
Now?
On Oct 17th, just 9 days later, at 3pm he has over 97,000, with 1849 donors.
Thats a ton of air time. a little help from KOS and he will be above 100,000 in no time at all.

As much as I love folks sending credit my way
There are soooooo many people who are making this happen. I might be the loudest and I am certainly the most visible on this blog, but trust me when I say there are literally hundreds of people leading different aspects of this campaign that we will never know about. We shouted about Larry, but hundreds of volunteers backed up our bravado with real grassroots action. Those hundreds have grown to thousands. Another new negative ad out on taxes and mailings that are flat out lies. We need to bring Larry more money to combat the lies. That's what he needs now.

How about
Larry himself giving you credit? He certainly does that.
Lovex7
Yes, he does
and I love him for it, but I know how many people are working to help Larry. The number is mind-boggling and many of them work far harder than I do. Trust me, I'm just the loudest. There are some truly amazing people working on this campaign.

Something About Larry
I did a some leg work for Harvey Gantt but I don't believe there was the same grassroots buzz as there is for Larry. It could be just the BlueNC in me but there is something about Larry that comes across from SD and WFC that is borne out by the reality of Larry.
NC-08 vs. NC
SD has brought the Kissell race to the rest of NC through BlueNC. And, to the rest of the world (yes the internet has no borders) through some great coverage on DailyKos. OF COURSE, even here on BlueNC there are others doing great work on these races.
Also, Anglico gets a big nod for bringing Larry to the triangle and enamouring the entire OCDP, which is now doing canvassing and calling for Larry (not to mention the $25,000 raised at the one event and since then from participants).
