Thanks NCFCD! Most excellent
I want all the candidates to know about this question, just in case it doesn't survive the gauntlet of question vetting:

Education
How would you address our high level of drop out rate?
Poverty
Our state has a 15% poverty rate, much of which is concentrated in rural areas. How important would reducing poverty be to you, and what steps could our state government take to reduce it?

About Blackwater....
What is your position on Blackwater and its position as a company incorporated in NC? Would you be willing to lead a citizen's fight to close this private army closed down?

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Energy needs.
Do you think the government should "take the lead" on the development and application of alternative energy sources, or continue trusting in the power companies to make these decisions?
Jobs for the future.
North Carolina has lost it's bread winning textile and furniture jobs of the last century. What industry do you see healing that wound?
Progressives are the true conservatives.
Are y'all posting these questions on the college dems site?
Please go to their link in the post above and put your questions there so that they can be sure these great questions are being included. Thanks!

We still need more comments. Please keep them coming.
UNCA Debate
Round 1 goes to Smathers. Hampton was embarrassing.
John, I really appreciate that you joined and have posted
but would you mind not visiting every single thread that mentions the LG candidates and posting comments that are all in the same vein. This community has done a good job of keeping nastiness out of our LG threads and I for one would like to keep it that way. Posting your own diary with your take on the debate is sufficient. Commenting on another thread where there is an active conversation going on is also fine, but visiting the threads that the candidate has written where active conversation about the debate is not going on is bordering on spam.
Please help us keep the LG threads civil. Thank you.

Vote Democratic, the ass you save may be your own.
Please send a note to NCFDC
encouraging them to include a question about Blackwater. The debate in Fayetteville is the perfect place for candidates to declare their positions on having a mercenary army in North Carolina that is draining resources away from our professional military.
You can post your questions here.
