With only 2.5 weeks left until voting begins, this week's marriage news watch is heavily focused on North Carolina. It's also the last day of the money bomb. Make it count!

Every dollar you give to the campaign will go directly to defeating the constitutional amendment - and every dollar that you give today will be doubled.

They sent out an e-mail today mentioning that they got a doubling contribution for up to $25,000 for whatever they could raise today. So now is the time to give if you're going to.

I'd also add, that if you're going to buy any anti-amendment swag from the store, get on it now. I believe it counts toward the money bomb, and you need to order now if you're going to have it in time for early voting anyways.

Big announcement from Protect All NC Families this AM: “A generous businesswoman and her husband have stepped up to offer a $25,000 matching gift to our campaign. And in other news, the opposition — the proponents of the amendment, Vote for Marriage NC, which is following the NOM race-baiting homophobic playbook — plan to go on the air with commercials soon.

They'll definitely be on the airwaves soon, and we'll lose if we can't have a strong TV presence too.
