McCain's Monster
Have you heard the violent anti-Obama cries at McCain-Palin rallies over the last week?
McCain and Palin have methodically unleashed deliberate appeals to the basest, most ignorant elements of their party. A new ad references Obama's "blind ambition." Palin accuses Obama of "palling around with terrorists," while McCain wonders aloud, "Who is the real Barack Obama?"
The responses from the crowd, and the threats, vary.
"Kill him!"
"Terrorist!"
"Bomb Obama!"
Last night on television, clips rolled again and again of a McCain rally in which an expectant father expressed fear of an Obama presidency, and a woman verbalized mistrust because "he's an Arab." This followed my receipt of a scurrilous anti-Obama e-mail yesterday from a Republican friend in Florida. I felt scared.
In a calculated manner, McCain and his team are inciting racism, fear, and violence. They are deliberately pitting one group of Americans against another.
John McCain's face reveals the truth. He's less than happy about the monster he co-created, and fed, with Sarah Palin.
McCain, what did you expect? You sold your soul to the Devil. It's up to you, and you alone, to get it back.

Doubts about Dole?
Watching his whole campaign makes me wonder
if he isn't running to loose on purpose. At this moment I can't remember were I read it, maybe here, but another theory was that he's loosing to punish the r party for picking bush over him in 2000.
I can't wait till after the elections when Saracudda comes out against McCain and announces her candidacy for 2012! (Along with a book with all the dirty little tid bits about the McCain/Palin ticket)

Yours is the perfect analogy for what has happened in his campaign. (In fact, I just used it for a rant I published over at TAP)
Today's news reports that McCain's efforts to control the monster he created are not being well received by said monster.

I am still waiting for him to say that being an Arab is ok as well :) If elected i am sure he wont be kicking their 600 billion dollar investments in the US out of the country nor will he have a problem walking hand and hand with the Saudi dictator in charge.

Undoubtedly he either couldn't think quickly enough on his feet to say it to the sweet lady in his audience, or didn't have the guts. Did you see the article on this subject by Zogby at Huffington Post?
