McCrory too busy to attend NAACP Convention
If he can't spare the time now, you can forget about him listening after the election:
GOP gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory is skipping the North Carolina NAACP state convention this week, a move that comes amid accusations from black leaders and his Democratic rival that he doesn't understand the needs of African Americans. McCrory will spend Saturday at a fundraiser in Gastonia.
And there might even be a black person in attendance, but probably not.

Ok.....
...but I'm not clear on why you'd expect him to speak to a Democratic party auxiliary group. Politically speaking, seems like a waste of time for both him and the NAACP attendees.
Agreed
McCrory doesn't want to be governor of a bunch of black people anyway, so why should be bother to ask for their votes?
