McHenry's Missing Money

While looking around for Patrick McHenry's sources of income, money that we don't know about, I came across some money that even Patrick McHenry doesn't know about. Among McHenry's top contributors are industries like Commercial Banks, Real Estate, Insurance, Securities & Investment. It seems he gets so much money he can't keep track of it all. This is surprising for a Congressman who is charged with keeping track of Federal money by serving on the House Financial Services Committee, the House Budget Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
To make matters even more embarassing for McHenry, his missing money is being held for safekeeping by a Democrat, NC State Treasurer Richard Moore. According to information in the Unclaimed Property Search at NCCash.com there are three separate sums of money being held in Patrick McHenry's name. I've confirmed that it actually is him. It's "possible" that McHenry knows about the money and is simply "investing" it for the benefit of the State. Interest on the money goes to the State Education Assistance Authority which helps students pay for college through the College Foundation and other services.
If Patrick McHenry can't keep track of his own money, how can he keep track of yours?

If you're an elected official
and you have unclaimed monies, there could be many reasons...
• Not wanting to have to declare it with the IRS
• Using it as a personal IRA for after you get bounced from office
• Hiding the fact it came from the illegal sale of Eskimo Camels
Oh the list could go on. But honestly, part of me says if you're an elected official and you have unclaimed monies, it should be refunded to your constituents. They gave you money to get in office when you apparently had this all the time.
For Give me Here
But why should he refund the money to anyone? It's his money. Unless you are suggesting that people who wish to seek office self-finance, which to me is a horrible policy.
Not what I was suggesting..
.. but now that you mention it, Self-Financing isn't all that bad.
It shouldn't be the only source, however, or even the primary source. I do think every candidate should put some of their own money in before asking others to do the same.
I have some too
Or so I'm told.
:)
NCCash is a great program, one of Moore's big successes. If McHenry kept up with North Carolina at all, he'd know about it. Unfortunately, he's too busy keeping up with his best friend Bush. The look on W's face is priceless, as in "who's this doofus standing next to my magnificence?"
When George Bush is looking down on you, you're pretty damn low.
Do good. Be nice. Have fun.
Last chance to vote
for Wes Clark to come to the 10th and help Daniel Johnson unseat this creepy little turd. Vote Here! Last count, we were leading in the vote, but it was too close for comfort. Please vote! (Often!!)
